This past weekend my Writers Group participated in the Madison Chili Cook-Off with a vendor tent. It was the first-ever event that our group has done so expectations were mixed. Despite the clouds and chance of rain, I think we did well. Over the course of the day, we met new readers and sent information home with potential customers.

The authors in our group have always been genre-diverse. At this event, we were able to offer readers my seven paranormal romance books, a recently released contemporary romance by Crystal Jackson, a mystery by Marilyn Snow, a young adult series by Katherine E. Wibell that consisted of four books, a memoir by William Charles Connor, and history by Steven Huggins.

The right writer’s group is an enormous asset to anyone who wishes to eventually publish. I’ve belonged to this group for approximately ten years and I credit them with pushing me beyond what I ever thought myself capable of achieving. It has truly been a wonderful experience.
My next appearance will be at Perk Avenue Coffee House on the 9th of November from 1 PM to 5 PM. I’ll be sharing the tables with Crystal and Steven. I hope to see you there!
